The file quota limit is very common for Unix-based VDS-type plans. Unix/Linux partitions have a fixed amount of file descriptors and thus there is a fixed number of files that can be placed on any partition. The file limit is really intended to keep any VDS from over utilizing disk resources. By default, the file quota is actually a very low amount and if you need to place more files on your site just let us know and we can increase this amount.
