Why can't I see my .htaccess or .htpasswd files?
Under Unix/Linux, all files that begin with a "." are hidden files. This is normal. If you want to display hidden files you can run this command, from command line FTP or SSH:
ls -a
If you are using a graphical FTP program there is usually a program setting to show hidden files.
