Why can't I connect to MySQL on my new name-based VDS?
The dns for your Domain has not propagated yet, you can cheat by spoofing your hosts file with the ip address that your received in your welcome email.

The address is the numeric portion of a url that will look something like:
http://65.77.208.101/yourdoman.com
