What is the difference between the Shared I.P. and Unique I.P. VDS hosting accounts?
If you choose to have a unique I.P. address, your site will be available at both your unique static I.P. address and your domain name. If you choose the Shared I.P. or name-based account, your site will be available at only your domain name. In addition, Shared I.P. accounts cannot have their own SSL certificate and are not able to connect via TCP/IP to their MySQL and PostgreSQL database(s). If the SSL certificate is a concern, we offer a shared SSL certificate for our clients. Also, Apache Watchdog monitoring and Anonymous FTP is not available on a Shared I.P. account.
