I need to get "xyz" package installed for our program to work and am having issues compiling it.
Unfortunately, some binaries that are typical on a dedicated server are not typical in Virtual Dedicated servers. With your VDS, you are given all of the files you need for managing web hosting services but many of the files you might use for managing a full version of Unix/Linux are not included.

Your VDS includes the GCC compiler available as a ValueApp. You can use this compiler to compile your own software under the VDS. If your special package cannot be compiled within the VDS then the VDS plan may not work for you. Let us know if you are having trouble and we can talk about other options.
